Not only has Shamza given her time to the NCS, she also volunteered at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and is a Peer Researcher for the Peer Action Collective (PAC), where she works on campaigns around crime and bullying. Shamza wanted to continue her volunteer work, so alongside her NCS team, she helped train operator Northern develop a video that raised awareness about unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport. The mural that was created was displayed at local landmarks and the campaign, that celebrated the city's diversity, earned her a reception with the Prime Minister at Downing Street. In 2020 Shamza decided to start volunteering with the NCS, helping to create projects that celebrated pandemic key workers in Bradford.
